In the second matchdae of the UKG Challenge Cup, the Houston Dash took on the Chicago Red Stars, with two of their newest players, Barbara Olivieri and Diana Ordóñez, making significant contributions to the game. Both players scored a goal each, securing the Dash's 2-0 victory over the Red Stars.


After two consecutive losses in the NWSL & Challenge Cup, the Dash were in need of a win to get their season back on track. The team showed resilience and determination, bouncing back with their first 3 points in the challenge cup.


Barbara Olivieri Scores Her First Goal for the Houston Dash in the 5th minute with Help from Winger Maria Sanchez off a freekick while Diana Ordóñez, scored a crucial penalty in the 72nd minute of the game after Michelle Alozie went down in the box. The goal was a testament to Diana's composure under pressure which she buried down the middle.


Barbara Olivieri and Diana Ordóñez, both 21 years old will be making waves in the NWSL this season, proving themselves as the next rising stars for the Houston Dash with the addition of 22 year old Ebony Salmon.
